Robocop 2 Workprint Breakdown

There is a Workprint that runs around the same time as the DVD version it contains new scenes, misses some scenes from the theatrical cut and some of the special effects are incomplete.

The Workprint uses temp music - mainly Basil Poledouris's Robocop score.

Magnavolt scene: the logo is different, more generic.

During the Mediabreak, there are different shots of the nuclear plant in the Amazon as well as different on-screen wording and artwork.

During the attack of Nick's weapon shop, there's an extra line of dialogue in the Workprint - stuntman Tommy Rosales Jr, while entering the shop, shouts "I want the biggest! the biggest one!"

During the OCP scene where Johnson shows the failed Robocop 2 prototypes, there is a extra shot of the OCP main hall in the beginning of the scene, the stop-motion FX for the new cyborgs are missing, a close-up shot of the Old Man's face-palm and a new shot of Johnson is added, as well as an extra shot of Shrenk and Faxx, both looking embarrassed.

Robocop pauses to watch a female police officer in the shower. Lewis also notices him.

When Robocop is driving through Detroit, going to River Rouge, we can hear Sergeant Reed talking to him on the car radio:"Murphy! Stay out of River Rouge, don't go to River Rouge it's over the line, it's a restricted area, you need to turn back, Damn it! Murphy it's suicide you can't get backup there! Murphy, do you hear me?!"

In River Rouge old sludge plant, when the Elvis guitar and corpse is shown, the Workprint uses an Elvis song. "It's Now or Never".

When Robocop is being dismantled, the Workprint shows a new shot of Angie giving a piece to Hob, who yells "Come on! come on! Stop screwing around! Come on! ".

When Duffy's chest is cut open, the shot is slightly longer in the Workprint and contains more graphic shots.

The little league's attack includes many alternative shot's including many from Robocop's POV.This scene also runs longer with additional dialogue from the store owner:Owner: "They're getting away! You let them get away?! What the hell is wrong with you?!!!"Robocop: "You seem hostile"Owner: "They wrecked my shop! And you give 'em a lecture! You metal bastard!"Robocop: "That's a very harsh value Judgment, negativity only breeds antisocial behavior, restrain yourself".

The Sunblock 5000 commercial has different on-screen graphics.

Extended Mediabreak with a speech from Johnson and an extra shot of the police seizing the money.

When Robocop confronts Robocain at the OCP Civic Center there is a couple of longer extra shots of the press when Robocop says to Robocain: "Cain let's step outside!"As well as an extra line from the Old Man, "Stooop, stop it !"

When Robocop is climbing up to leap on Robocain, there is a shot of Estevez saying: "what the hell is he doing he's crazy that's suicide"

When Robocop is trying to rip Robocain's brain, Robocain tries to catch him with his flexible gripper, but Robocop rips it off.

Before the Old Man and Juliette Faxx leave the OCP Civic Center, the Workprint contains additional dialogue.Old Man: "Feel like dinning out?"Faxx: "Yes, why not"Old Man: "Good!"

Mayor Kuzack has an additional line of dialogue when talking to the reporters:"Will you just listen to me ! Listen to what I'm saying!"
